Carroll Music Studio - Where Talent is Just the Beginning

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY
CARROLL MUSIC STUDIO!

This time last year, Carroll•Music•Studio "officially" began!  In
the Fall of 2009, 2 students had committed.  Word was put out, with the
help of family and friends, Carroll•Music•Studio  joined the Greater
Summerville/ Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce, and lessons
began!
What a great year it has been!  The Fall semester finished with 8
students participating in the Christmas Coffee House Recital and the chance
to "show off" at the Chambers Annual Christmas Business After Hours.
In January, Carroll•Music•Studio hosted it's first Rollings Middle
School of the Arts Auditions Master Class Series.  3 out of 5 auditionees
were accepted into Rollings.  Plans for this year's Master Class are in the
works!
In the Spring, Carroll•Music•Studio continued to grow, and 14
students completed the semester by participating in the Spring Recital-
Bella Notte.  In addition to those accepted to Rollings Middle School, one
student competed and received a Superior score at the SCISA Arts Festival
for voice and one was accepted into the regional Children's Choir.
The summer was a lot of fun as new students "got their feet wet,"
taking piano and/or singing lessons for the first time ever.
Many of them returned for the Fall semester, which is now
at capacity with 20 students!

I look forward to another amazing year of learning, developing
new relationships and growth!

"Sarah was absolutely an integral part of my preparation for the Miss South Carolina pageant. Not only did she help me find the perfect song for the talent portion of the competition, but she spent countless hours helping me nail every note and phrase. Her help with breathing is something that I can use whenever and whatever I sing, something I can carry with me for a lifetime."
